dondub goes DIY in 08

fly den a mufucka... click the pic

if you have seen my living space you know its 'new york big' which is 'us small and impoverished' but that is changing rapidly. this room right here has just become my new muse. the challenge is cost effective material and ease of assembly/dissassembly. any other DIY'ers our there? whats good with the last project you did? im really souped offa the bunk bed room thingie and i think, no i KNOW i can build that.

ambitious, yes... especially for a guy who didnt want furniture because it was too much of a commitment. oh how the tides have turned

this is not procrastination i promise. im drinkin coffee and gettin ready to go to the bank before i record/bounce down some vocals. me and von spent all day yesterday panhandling our own acapellas from the protooled people we know, how the hell nobody in our immediate circle has protools is amazing but we got what we needed (thank GOD) and now all thats left for me to do is add backing harmonies (yes, im singing on the songs... again. does anybody even notice i be singin on shit? hahah.. DONNIE DIAMONDS!) but im sayin since i live in my workspace i been thinkin about this type of renovation alot.

okay enjoy your day. von just sent me the mix and i gotta get to work

that shit is pimp. i like that lil office under the bed... i wish i had a pad like that. man... and to DIY? u gotta b crazy! if u think the crib needs it... do it up. its a million times cheaper to DIY anyway. that way u get wat u want and u dont gotta go thru a middle man. if funds are sufficient, what cant use renovation? go for it!

nice, it's basically a loft bed with some panels around the bottom. doesn't look hard to do, though i'm not sure how portable it'd be though.

I love this. I have an 800 sq. ft. one bedroom in SE DC and I want to do my bedroom like this. It would solve my dilemma of no space for an office.

Apartment Therapy is my favorite website!! Well...2nd favorite site... :-P

You should do it, and post some pics afterward! This is on some modern day hood Bob Vila 'ish... Just make sure that you make that little den sturdy enough for...ya'know....an adequate amount of bed-rockin'. LOL
