so i just kinda glossed over the fact that we did toronto with the roots huh? well between traveling, soundchecking, performing and running all over the place blogging it out kinda flew right by me. in a nutshell the shit was DOPE... severly ill. as you can gleen from the photos the house was PACKED and the bug shit was that they was rockin with us the whole way. even copped some merch to boot. it was definitely a good time man and i think we showed and proved...

we gotta get back up there tho for real. not only for the new nad old fans but to holler at jesse, l'oquenz, zaki, mensa, shadi, safia, claudine, nehal, shit... the whole crew man. we get held the fuck DOWN in the t.dot and its definitely appreciated. so lets link some shit up ppls... PLEASE

at anyrate im back in nyc right now and im STARVING for food and a drink. boston was dope and the good people at society original clothing and my man nu over at puma dropped by and showed BIG love. we rocked the house and hopefully ill have some pics of that soon. my mic kept shorting out but i handled it like a pro, shit at one point during the last song the whole sound rig gave out, speakers and all. what did i do? shouted it acapella at the crowd til the music came back. and didnt even lose my voice... shit was fun

keepin it all the way trill with yall man being on tour is a very demanding thing. especially when you are doing as much as we do just to stay afloat but to anybody that has opened up their doors for us to sleep, wallets for us to eat, or mouths to spread the word or sing along we dont forget. it means alot and honestly you are as crucial to this thing we got goin. id love to keep elaborating but ill save the emo bloggin for when im not supposed to be getting dressed and getting out the house.

guess i need to let one out eh? fuck it...

im moving the blog. yup... its moving. well it actually has moved i just havent announced it or typed my first formal blog. the good news is that it is still at www.mcdayjob.com so it shouldnt be THAT rough of a transition. the bad news is that there will he no cboxeration in my dancerie so taht may make the transition a LITTLE harder. im sure ill lose a person or two along the way but thats life right?

the reason for the move is simple, i just like wordpress a little better. its not changing the world or redefining blogging for me or anything, but i think that it suits my needs a little better. im not done setting up that blog yet and im not done typing in this blog either but trust me YOU WILL KNOW WHEN I AM...

so there i said it, i hope i can let the rest of these damn cats out the bag soon...

and i swear i would have thought the last few weeks were a dream if i didnt wake up to ilyas on the other side of the room balled up sleep on my lil bitty ass couch. there is nothing to eat in here at all except a half bag of mike and ikes and some coffee or some shit.

i got a few days here in nyc to recharge (read: sit in my apt and get restless) before boston. so far the tour has been going great and no singular memory sticks out as being more amazing than the other, shit NOTHING sticks out. its all a blur. like it seriously feels like i havent been gone to be honest. it all is going by so fast. im not taking pictures or video tho, havent been in the mood to. maybe ill kick off the second leg by documenting it all like i did the last time around. maybe when i get off the road it wont be a blur who knows. i just know we are half way thru it and plans to extend the tour beyond april 22nd to reach the west coast are looking like it wont go down for various reasons. fear not tho, soon come...

i guess imma go shower and look for food or something... i wish there was something more interesting to say or show here... i need something to blog about. ill go find something awesome.. ill be back

okay so there are only SO many cities that i can go to and INSTANTLY feel at home and denver tops that list*. i can literally get in the car and drive around denver, bump into friends in the mall and shit, yeah i fucks with denver hoard. well today i am inducting toronto on to the cities i kinda feel like i live in list i mean for really now what are the chances that you roll into a spot and aside from people who know you (believe it or not it happens from time to time) run into at LEAST 3 people who you know that live in that respective city? shit was crazy man. and there are still a few canadian buddies who im tryna catch up with as we speak! awesome...

aside from that the city is fantastic. the people, the vibe, the weather**... i love it here. i love it so much taht im about to go enjoy myself for the day and get off this cpu. we got ALOT of running around to do. hosting a mixtape, radio interview, magazine interview and then turn around and open for the legendary roots crew? yeah today is jam packed, chock full of excitement...

ill be back in nyc tomorrow night, we are gonna end up laying over in nyc for a few days this time around, im not mad at that at ALL. prolly end up hittin che grands show but it wont be all play, nah... got work to do there too. i dont think ill be back to full time blogging until after the tour wraps man. its just too much life goin on to constantly obsess with documenting it, hell i havent even had the camera out and you KNOW thats not my style... i just been too busy soaking up the world for a second. things are picking up around here and instead of watching it snowball im tryna push that bitch down the hill faster you know? so expect some exciting things outta the camp before 08 transpires we working with alot of good people on alot of great things..

before i get outta here i just wanna say that i hope yall are enjoying the mixtape. we worked real hard on not only recording but coordinating its release and the positive feedback we recieved is more than encouraging. i know its songs ppl thought shoulda been on there and whatever BUT thats between you and dj soul, he picked his favorites for the mix. we love and stand by all of our music so we knew whatever he picked would be fresh. we are tryna push it to at least 10k downloads and are comin up about 2k short so gone head and email forward that joint to whoever you think would like it, pitch it to your local publications, hell pitch it to national publications, send it to ellen degeneres or something... sky is the limit!

so we are back in cincinnati right now chillin and even tho its our day off im hard at work... HARD at work son! but yall dont wanna hear about that...

i dont remember the last time i checked in with yall but i have been to a FEW cities and done a couple of shows. thus far tho i will say that cincinnati has by far been THE livest show/crowd we have seeen this time out. niggas here came out in flocks and droves and it was a pretty dope affair. you know it really feels good to be at home but to come home and TEAR SHIT DOWN and get love like that is crazy...

okay i need to go do laundry, shower and sort some shit out. i refuse to spend my day off on the computer...

OH and FYI... we may be coming to nyc for a short layover at the top of april, act accordingly...

Atl got rocked. There were so many names and faces in the crowd that im not gonna start to mention em. But I would like to shout out 88 keys, torae, supastition and che grand for joining us onstage. And shout out to shake @ dx too.. That's the homie.

So far so good tho. Pittsburgh was dope again and we the crowd gave it up as usual. Great energy. Baltimore was a good time too, the turntable club definitely gets my respect as a dope venue.

so with the help of von pea I have discovered a new sandwich at subway, the spicy bmt. Son... SON... sooooon. Like im not gonna rave about a foot of meat in my stomach cus that's wild haux maux but its delicious. Im kinda sick of subway tho

Yo so we have had some DUMB long rides and there is no sign of them slowing up anytime soon. Nothing will top driving cross country tho, that was dope. Scenic and all that. And its lookin like we may be extending our stay on the road too... so all you ppl who want us in all them cities you say we are neglecting don't give up hope yet. I guess I may as well get over this homesickness im experiencing huh?

New orleans was dope. We even snuck in a little sight seeing and got to check out the post katrina devastation. Shit was crazy man, for real. I wasn't ready for it at all.

after 8 hours of driving in the dark with rain pounding down on the windshield me and von have landed safely in cincinnati. i think i may have stressed/worried myself sick, seriously. i feel pretty bad right now, i think its a sinus infection but what do i know.

yesterday turned out to be a monster of a day. coordinating that TM is a Rap Group mixtape was alot of work but apparently it paid off . we are at 3600 downloads and counting in a little over 24hrs. not bad at all eh?

the tour starts tomorrow and i think just about all the pieces are in place, i even get to do my patented black thought impersonation in toronto where we open for the roots. aka JESSE @ CYBERKRIB IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE EMAIL ME WE NEED TO TALK ASAP! you too henri... lol

as a child my eyes got stuck crossed and that is why i wear glasses. thanks to my older sister i crossed them on a dare and held them crossed for too long causing the muscle to sprain and ended up having to get surgery and the whole nine. the class photos i took that year actually has me cross eyed because well they were stuck. so if you ever wondered why one lens in my glasses is SOO strong its because thats the eye that drifted... lol

i think the more i talk about all of the projects that i am working on the more confused i make you guys. its in my nature to pick things up and put them down, im a gemini. while im not going to list all of the groups/projects that are in the works i think this song does deserve some backstory.

Me and kay have been working together since sometime around 2004. We did a few jams together and while they would remain unreleased an undeniable chemistry was there. We forged a friendship around 2005 and decided to work on a group project last year. We probably wont formally get to work until Tanya Morgan is done campaigning.
